This Privacy Policy explains how Youcef Khetib ("we", "us") handles information in the Magramane mobile application ("the app"). Magramane is a diet, fitness and wellness app. We designed it to keep your personal data on your device. Please read this policy together with the in-app Privacy & data screen.

Summary. Your logged data (food, weight, water, sleep, steps, routes, body measurements) is stored only on your device, encrypted at rest. We do not run a server that collects it, and we do not sell or share it for advertising. Two optional features send limited data to third parties only when you choose to use them (barcode lookup and AI photo estimation), described below.

1. Who is responsible

2. What data the app handles, and why

We do not collect advertising identifiers, contacts, SMS, call logs, or browsing history, and we do not use analytics SDKs.

3. Sensitive data

Some of the above is sensitive: health and fitness data, audio recordings, and precise location. We process it only to provide the feature you started, with your consent, on your device. You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings → Privacy & data, and delete the data there.

4. Data we send to third parties (only when you use these features)

These calls happen only at the moment you use the feature. If you never scan a barcode or analyze a photo, no such data leaves your device. We do not transmit your other logs to these services.

We do not request background location. Location is accessed only while a tracking session is open and stops when you end it.

6. Storage, security and retention

Data is stored locally and encrypted at rest (Android EncryptedSharedPreferences / iOS Keychain-backed storage). You control retention: delete sleep sessions, routes, step data, or everything, and set an auto-delete window (7/30/90 days) in Privacy & data. Uninstalling the app removes its local data.

7. Your rights

Because your data is on your device, you can access and delete it directly in the app. Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing; contact us at betterdzchannel@gmail.com.

8. Children

Magramane is intended for adults and is not directed to children under [13/16 per your region]. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Medical disclaimer

Magramane is a wellness and fitness app. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Snore detection, body-fat, and calorie figures are estimates, not clinical measurements. For loud, persistent snoring or daytime sleepiness (possible sleep apnea) or any medical concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, in-app notice.

This document is a template prepared to match the app's actual data behavior. It is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified professional before publishing, and ensure the identical URL is used in Google Play Console, inside the app, and in the Health Connect permissions screen.

Data deletion

App: Magramane · Developer: Youcef Khetib

Magramane stores your personal data only on your device. You can delete it yourself at any time, and you may also contact us to request deletion.

Delete your data from within the app

Open Magramane and go to Settings → Privacy & data.
Use the delete controls to remove specific data (sleep sessions, routes, step data) or tap Delete all data to erase everything.
You can also set an auto-delete window (7, 30, or 90 days) so older data is removed automatically.
Uninstalling the app also removes all of its data from your device.

Request deletion by email

If you need help, email betterdzchannel@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request." Because your data lives on your device and not on our servers, we will guide you through removing it.

What is deleted and what is kept

Deleted: all data you logged in the app — profile, food and calorie logs, weight, water, steps, routes, and sleep/snore recordings and analysis. These are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app.
Kept: none on our side. Magramane does not operate a server that stores your personal data, so there is no account or cloud copy to retain. We do not retain your data after deletion.

Note: two optional features send data to third parties only when you use them (barcode lookup to Open Food Facts; AI photo estimation to Anthropic). Those requests are not stored by Magramane; review each provider's policy for their own retention.
